There is no way we can deny it, WE ALL DO, INCLUDING MYSELF!


We do things for the attention desire. We dress the way we expect to get attention.
We do our hair the way we expect the world to accept it. We value ourselves to what people see, think, & believe about us.

Whether we want to accept our actions or not, WE DO!


CAN I BE TRANSPARENT TODAY?

          Back in jr. high /sr. high we had something called MySpace ( yes I took it wayyyy back). This is where my insecurities and pleasing people began to plant itself and bloom. I would spend like an hour trying to get the RIGHT picture from the RIGHT angle with the RIGHT background and the RIGHT filter.. YES, I put that much into it. All of that just so some guy would find me sexy or cute or some chick would look at me an envy me as beautiful. THAT'S JUST BEING REAL! I began to overly-value people & their opinions, unknowingly digging myself deeper into a hole of living for man's approval. Outside of MySpace, I had to have the best hairstyle, I had to be "talking" or dating one of the hottest athletes in school, and have the most popular friends. All those things I HAD to have & when I couldn't get them my heart was crushed & I felt WORTHLESS.

          All of these things carried over into my freshman year of college

where I became addicted to prescription pain killers to help numb my pains of rejection over and over.

I eventually overdosed and attempted suicide on March 11,2012

THIS WAS MY ROCK BOTTOM.

What started off as harmless fun put me in people bondage & battling depression

 & I felt my only way out was to DIE.

BUT JUST LIKE YOU....... GOD said no. I'm not done with you.



By federal mandate, patients who attempt suicide are sent to a mental institution for 72 hours for observation. I laid on my bed in that hospital, crying, heart crushed, ( STILL THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE SAYING BACK HOME), This moment is where I heard the still, audible voice of God say " From this point, there is freedom". At 3AM on March 12,2012 I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and told Him he can have it ALL. My heart, my mind, my dreams, my life.



I write this because a burden has been placed on my heart for my sisters.
When I look our in this world, I see women who desire likes and friends on social media than the presence of their Father.
I see women who paint a happy face of makeup & cry themselves to sleep when the mask comes off and reality sets in.
I see women who desire something greater than they have been exposed too.

THEN..............  I see women who can be healed & made whole by the power of God in their lives.
I see women who know the importance of inner beauty and see themselves as beautiful by GOD's standards.
I see women living for God and not man. I see women who know they are QUEENS.


        So today I say lets talk fashion and budgeting later, today I say lets address the root. Lets dig deep, find the root & LET IT GO. Isaiah 2:22 : Don't put your trust in mere humans, They are as frail as breath. What good are they? .NO DEEP QUOTES JUST THE WORD. Today make let GOD reign in your hearts and live to make Him SMILE. That's all that matters. The omnipresent, omnipotent, supreme ruler who holds the UNIVERSE and best yet, YOUR CREATOR and FATHER's opinion ONLY matters.

I have these dreams of what I want to do, but....... Is it just a dream?
Can it be my reality?
What if I fail?
I'm just afraid.....
How am I supposed to live for God if I don't even know what exactly he wants me to do???

Any of these ever cross your mind? I know they've ran across mine.



- - - - - I LOVE shoes!!!!! I actually have a slight obsession with them. I believe the right pair of shoes gives a woman a certain assured confidence in herself. Gives you a slight "umph" when you walk, a little twist when you step out on a night with the girls, on date night, or just strolling along day to day.

- - - - - -There is certain type of shoes I think you should NEVER take off. They are the shoes I believe keep you aligned in knowing WHO you are in Christ and your purpose.  They keep your focus on what you were put on this earth for. They are your shoes of DESTINY. You destiny is yours to discover through intimacy with God. Your destiny is like no other just like no woman is like no other. It's YOUR specific pair that makes you unique and only YOU are graced to put them on.

"God has a purpose for you. He has a divinely ordained purpose just for you. It includes various things such as your passions, your personality, your skills, dreams, and hurts. ALL of these things merge together to empower you to fulfill your destiny." ...."... your destiny is the CUSTOMIZED calling God has ordained and equipped ONLY YOU to accomplish in order to bring Him the greatest glory and the maximum experience of His kingdom. "


You may be like me and have a passion for fashion and helping hurting women.
You may have a passion for kids.
Dreamed of owning your own store or studio.
Dreamed of having a family one day.
You may like to cook, draw, sing or dance.
You could have been the victim of a type of abuse or experienced some pain ( haven't we all) that you never thought you would break out from. You could even be the survivor of a horrific or tragic situation and still standing. WHATEVER it may be GOD will use it. It is all tied to YOUR DESTINY.

But what if I don't know for sure what my destiny is? Only God knows because he created you. Take it to Him in prayer. God wants nothing more for you than to come to the realization of who you are in Him so you can fulfill His Will. When you know never take your shoes off! When you keep them on, You can

Many of them have brand name items with lower prices. (TIP): If you come at the right time, you can find clothes with tag still on them, never been worn, but priced really cheap!

 FASHION IS A NEVER-ENDING CYCLE! WHAT MAY BE OLD TO YOU IS "new" IN FASHION. I've seen trends from my jr. high years popping back up. Accessories can also spice up an old outfit.

A Beautiful Heart....

BEING DOLLED UP ON THE OUTSIDE BUT EMPTY AND DARK ON THE INSIDE.

                         As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. (Proverbs 27:19)

         When you looked at a Barbie doll as a child, you looked at her as the most beautiful girl in the world. She had perfect hair, perfect eyes, the best clothes, she even had a good looking man on her arm. For the past century, the Barbie has been the example to many young girls & women as the "perfect female". Now I know your looking like " REALLY"? She's just a doll though. She's not real. YOUR ABSOLUETLY RIGHT! Although at an early age, we all got an idea of what gorgeous should look like. An idea that blossmed into the actions we carried on into our adolescent years of standing in front of mirrors for hours creating an image. Time in department stores shopping to find a look of a famous celebrity, playing the mental comparison game. We ALL have done it.

          The world focuses on the outside & rejects perfecting the inside. We all know that all because it shines like gold doesnt mean its gold. Manufactures today can make any piece of cheap plastic look like two of the most prized stones in the world, diamonds and pearls. They can gloss it, they can cut it, paint it any color they want and make it look like the real thing ; but it's still a hollow cheap piece of plastic.

         WHAT DO YOU PUT MORE TIME AND EFFORT INTO? YOUR INSIDE OR YOUR OUT? Did you know that your Father doesnt care about all of that?! .......But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." ( 1 Samuel 16:7). There is nothing wrong with taking care of physical appearance. That's what this whole thing (blog) is about! But the in should match the out.  I SPENT YEARS TRYING TO PERFECT MY " I GOT IT ALL TOGETHER" LOOK.  I wore tons of makeup, not because I like makeup, but because I thought I needed those things to be looked at as beautiful. I wore form fitting clothes, that looked more like a second skin, not because I liked them, but because I desired love, attention, and popularity. All of this derived from an " inside" issue in my heart called : LOW SELF-ESTEEM. MY HEART WASNT RIGHT. I HAD THE LOOK TOGETHER BUT MY HEART WAS UGLY. As women, we try hard to control how we are seen to ultimately make ourselves BELIEVE  everything is all good.

This issue was so heavy on my heart. Dont look at me as if I have it all together or think I do. i challenge us both on becoming DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS inside and out. We must do this by allowing GOD to come into your heart and dwell there so he can do a heart surgery! Let Him change you! let him slowly shine His light and reveal the darkness in our hearts, even those ones curled up in the very depths. Those issues that we try to "make-up". NOTHING CAN BE HIDDEN FROM HIM AND THERE IS NOTHING HE CANT FIX. He cares for you and sees you as beautiful! I mean you were created in His image.

-----lets strive together to be FABULOUS in CHRIST with a beautiful heart to match!

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;

             A crown of prickly thorns for a sovereign and holy KING. It's very strange and out of order. but in order for YOU to be free the roles had to switch.


We have all heard and recited the scripture John 3:16 " For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.... and so on.." We say this, we repeat this, but do we UNDERSTAND??! The crown of thorns was meant for ME and YOU but LOVE rescued us. Love gave us a crown like His. LOVE pulled us into a ROYAL family. LOVE said ....." They stumble because they do not obey God's Word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are ROYAL priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light........( 1Pet 2:9).

What's In Your Bag?

Ladies most of us carry some type of bag. Whether it's a purse, a backpack, a clutch, a wristlet etc.  As women we are always carrying something! We also differ in how we carry it. We carry it on our arm, our shoulders, our back, our palms, or attached to our wrist. Sometimes even two or three ways. The point is we ALL carry baggage.


We love our bags from either famous designers, prestigious boutiques, or local department stores. In some bag there are many compartments that go deeper than the basic part of the bag. Some hidden and some more visible. We can visibly see our day to day bags we carry with us on our daily routine but usually cant recognize the baggage we carry in our hearts.


WHAT DO YOU MEAN? How Is baggage carried in my heart?

                       by letting your past situations effect your current circumstances....

 "..........let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us". (Hebrews 12:1)


Some of the issues we carry ourselves and others can visibly see, like that big open part of your bag. Stuff like your attitudes that you grew because some guy broke your heart. So your all on social media posting and reposting talking about " they aint this and they aint that" " All men are dogs". Or because someone from your childhood made you feel like you weren't good enough by either your appearance or your actions. So you begin to act out for attention, being loud to get noticed, wearing revealing clothing tighter than your own skin to your bones JUST so that you can get 100 likes or more that makes you feel worth something.

Girl, RECOGNIZE YOUR WORTH. AND RECOGNIZE THAT YOUR FREE! You hear the term "let it go" and YES its easier said than done. But you have to allow GOD to come into your heart and prune your heart of those past issues. You have to let him heal those holes. GOD IS A HEALER. HE IS A DELIVERER!


Then it's those issues that we even hide from ourselves. Like those hidden compartments we lose a lot of stuff in! Those are the ones that mess me up personally! Those so called "little" things. Jealousy in our hearts, lack of self-control, gossiping about what this person's doing, buried hate towards those who hurt us physically and emotionally, secret hatred towards our own appearances.  We try to tell ourselves " I'm Good". As women, we like to portray that everything is fine. It's the quality that is built inside our very DNA! But we have to get to a point where we FULLY surrender to GOD and ask him to search our hearts and reveal anything in us that is not like Him. Anything in us that "slows us down" and keeps us from going higher and who He himself has called us to be.

I'm not saying everything will go away immediately. It's a process that we have to remain faithful through and trust GOD and believe He is who HE IS! HE IS A HEALER! HE IS OUR COMFORTER! HE IS OUR DELIEVER! HE IS OUR STRONG TOWER! HE IS OUR RESCUER! HE IS YOUR FIRST LOVE!  His love is what freed us. YOUR FREE!!!

Carrying heavy baggage hurts. I know it does girl.  It causes us to not sit up straight. To walk lopsided.  GET THAT JUNK OUT OF YOU SO YOU CAN WALK RIGHT!

We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us. (2 Corinthians 1:10

What is your walk?  We pass by people everyday. Knowing some & some unfamiliar. When you see either walk past, what does it say about them? I know your thinking " You cant judge who a person is simply by the way they walk"?! In reality, people get ALL they need to know about who YOU are by your walk.

Before you think to argue, I'm not referring to your physical walk that you do with your legs. I'm talking about your SPRITUAL walk! Your day to day ways of conducting yourself by your WORDS and ACTIONS.

Do the things you say reflect Christ? Does your actions encourage others toward Him. The Christian band Sidewalk Prophets have a track that is titled " Live Like That" where the lyrics say" People pass & even if they don't know my name, is there EVIDENCE that I've been changed? When they see me do they see you? I want to live like that and give all I have so that everything I say and do points to YOU"!. What powerful lyrics and even more powerful if we play this out in our day to day lives. ESPECIALLY IN OUR WARDROBE!
